Covid 19! Covid 19! Covid 19! That is all we have been hearing! Granted, this virus is real and a concern, however it became apparent very early on that main stream media and certain politicians (mostly the democratic governors) seized on an opportunity to politicize a serious issue and use fear and panic as weapons to rule over and strip citizens of inalienable, constitutionally protected rights that are the very foundation of our country.
Tom Wolf is one of those governors.
Before we get into our theories about why he did it, lets go back to the beginning and track Governor Wolf’s actions, which also demonstrates the evidence against him as to why he should be impeached. Taking things from the top, Covid 19, or Corona Virus, if you prefer, was pretty much a non issue in the U. S., from the perspective of time, February 2020. There were a couple of cases and no deaths. By the beginning of March there was no mass spread, and a few deaths. In the case of Pennsylvania, on March 6, there were a total of two (2), Corona Virus Cases. By March 10, that increased to 12 cases out of a population of 12.8 Million people. 12 People were sick, no deaths. On March 13, Governor Wolf, closed the schools and public park programs. Well, that’s okay. He can do that. It is his prerogative for public venues that are run by the state. By March 18, there were 133 cases in the state, and the first death was reported.
At this time the Governor held multiple press conferences riddled with recommendations that people distance themselves socially, stay home if they are sick, wash their hands, and don’t gather in crowds of more than 50 people. However, if you happened to read a newspaper or went to his printed press release on the PA Government website, you would have seen an ominous threat in the writing on the wall, as he specifically said this is what is recommended and you should do it, instead of me forcing you to do it by order.
Well, dear Governor Wolf, I am not sure what school you went to (maybe the Hitler School of Management?), but a recommendation is exactly that. It leaves a person’s rights intact and preserves the integrity of our country. It is premised on the fact that people are smart enough to make their own decisions about what is good for them based on their own circumstances, and being provided the appropriate information to consider. At this point in time, there was enough information so anyone could make an informed decisions without question as every news station took every minute of the day to give case by case updates and recommendations. On March 19, the Governor ordered all non-essential businesses closed.
This is the point when the Governor first oversteps his bounds, and violates his oath of office sworn in front of every Pennsylvania resident. Ordering someone to close their private business without just compensation constitutes an unlawful taking of someone’s property. That is first and foremost one of the core protections of our Constitution. Thousands of people died in an effort to achieve this during the Revolutionary War. Offering loans to help carry businesses is NOT compensation. Loans have to be paid back and are done so at an additional cost by way of interest.
So far in our timeline, we are still at only a single death, however, based on studies from other countries that had been afflicted, the CDC and The WHO both reported, in reports not widely publicized, that the chance of contracting the disease upon direct contact is 1-5% unless you are enclosed for a prolonged period of time with an infected person then the chance increases to 78-85%. The news wasn’t talking about this number. They were talking about the deaths everywhere, though they were mentioning that at the time there was a 3% chance of death for those that contract the virus, if the person already had an impacted immune system, elderly with other health issues. Our medical professionals and governor, seemed to have forgotten that they were supposed to make decisions based on data and science, not hype from the news, because if that were the case then certainly our Governor would have never shut down an entire state over 133 cases, and two deaths, out of 12.8 million people. He wouldn’t and hasn’t shut the state down over two flu deaths, and therefore there is absolutely no justification for shutting down the state over 2 Corona Virus deaths, and the important thing to remember is that shutting the state down and locking people in their homes will not eradicate the virus – otherwise – even I would say, ‘maybe, they are onto something here.’ However no health professional has come forward stating such, in fact, they all state the opposite.
On March 21, all non-essential businesses closed, and we can debate whether something is essential or non-essential based on the perspective of the business owner in another article. Governor Wolf continued to make recommendations about how people should conduct themselves, which is fine – that is what governments are supposed to do, recommend. Then, he turned the floor over to his health secretary Rachel Levine who issued another ominous warning. ‘A statewide shelter in place was not out of the question.’ Again, do what I say or else, a common tactic with dictators, not elected representatives, but lets ask this question. Who is in charge here?
On, March 28, Governor Wolf ordered his first stay at home order, and then extended that order to the entire state by April 1. A month has passed with no mass spread and only 6 deaths from this virus at that time. There were about 2000 cases, out of a population of 12.8 million people, and the hospitals were far from overwhelmed. People were still being told, if you get sick, stay home. Do not run to the hospital unless it’s an emergency. In a press conference, the governor stated that the reason he was issuing the stay at home orders, was because he felt that the people of the state were not following his recommendations. Think that one through. They were not following his recommendations? Or, their choice was not the choice he wanted them to choose, so now he would order them to do what he wanted? The answer based on his statement seems obvious, and at this point he was well past his authority. It is unknown about whether Governor Wolf actually went out to see what the people were actually doing, our guess is that he did not, considering he is in the high risk category being 70 years old and having battled cancer. As for us, we were out, and we did see what people were doing. Stores took it upon themselves to paint distance lines on the floor to give their customers guidance, and they had placed recommendation messages on their PA systems reminding patrons to keep their distance between people. More importantly, everybody was not out roaming the streets hugging and kissing each other and hanging out in crowds. For the most part people were staying home, those that were going out, were pretty much out because they needed to be out.
In that same news briefing a reporter asked Governor Wolf who would be enforcing his stay home order. His eyes widened and bulged and he looked around nervously at his aides for help with the answer, because he clearly had no plan in place, then he did what all politicians do, and shot from the hip with his answer among stutters, saying that he guessed the State Police would be responsible. The follow up question was what he had to say about a Representatives call that he suspend his orders at this time until he has a plan in place, to which I believe he responded that he had not heard that. So, basically he is saying that he is working on his own and not listening to the representatives of the people, or he is admitting he has a selective hearing problem, mostly likely based on his own personal conflict. Either way he is not working in the interests of the people.
Governor Tom Wolf’s stay at home order had no place in our State, nor was it supported by the scientific data at the time. It is more likely that at that time he was acting out of self preservation being that he was in a high risk category, and he was doing so at the devastating expense of the people he was supposed to represent. Since he was at high risk, he was going to force everyone else to stay in, so he didn’t have to abide by his own orders, as evidenced by the picture accompanying this article – lack of face masks, gloves, and social distancing…not to mention the fact that he has been hiding out at his daughter’s house in the suburbs of Philadelphia instead of staying home as he commanded everyone else to do.
In addition to the stay at home orders, Governor Wolf further went to extremes to tell the essential businesses that were open that they had to install shields to protect their cashiers, and they had to cut their capacity, and only open every other register, when, where, and how they had to clean, and finally the latest debacle…they had to police their customers and make sure they were wearing masks, or refuse them the life sustaining supplies they need, like food, or they will get fined.
Now, that we took a trip down memory lane to see the perspective as it was happening, lets look at what we know about this virus after the fact, keeping in mind that hindsight is always 20/20.
We now know that this virus has been present in the United States since at least January. Prior to Shut down and stay at home orders, the spread of the virus is unknown, however it is clear that our hospitals were not over run and there was not mass amounts of death occurring. From the time that the shut downs started, and then after stay at home orders were issued, NOT from the time the virus has been present, it has spread exponentially. This is a perfect illustration of the 1-5% chance of contraction versus the 78-85% chance of contraction. Normally, in our lifestyles people are not at home with their family members for long periods of time, but once they were forced to be there, the virus spread. It is only logical to conclude that the shut down and stay at home orders helped spread the virus faster than it would have absent it. Don’t just look at our numbers, look at the numbers of the countries and states that did not issue the stay home orders. Yes, they may have less dense populations, but compare the rate of spread, not the amount of infected…because that is what everyone is pointing at–trying to slow the spread. The numbers don’t add up to the response; they never have, and this governor put countless people at risk from the virus by issuing the orders that he did without justification other than to protect himself, and he has destroyed many more people to come for years by overstepping his authority.
Adding insult to injury, the Congress of Pennsylvania did pass a bill to end the shut down. Governor Tom Wolf vetoed that bill, or said he would, and has not acted, yet. He is intentionally ignoring the voice of the people through their representatives. He is not a King. There is a reason that we have those representatives that we fought to obtain in the past, and it was to keep rule out of the hands of a single person.
Governor Tom Wolf has violated his oath to the people. He is a criminal and a traitor and MUST be removed from office whether that be through our elected officials or through an army of the people taking this state back with force.
Someone commented on a message board recently that our Congress will never vote to impeach. My reply is: Don’t be so sure. Unlike our Federal Government, we are a Republican majority in both the House and the Senate. We did pass a bill to end the shut down, Tom Wolf can’t veto an impeachment. Make your voice heard to your legislators today. The only guaranteed defeat is if you don’t ask the question.
Tom Wolf’s why he did this:
- Self preservation as he is a high risk class member – 70 years old, and immune system impacted.
- Politics – He is part of a political party reeling from embarrassment and running from retribution over repeated failed attacks toward the President of the United States. There is no better way to distract and try to conquer than to create a problem where a problem does not exist. (Proof? Let’s start with the fact that he is in a coalition with other Democratic Governors that are jointly deciding what is best for our State. I will ask you again, who is running our State?)
For the record. We are a non-profit organization and we do not endorse any political party or candidate. We fight for what is right no matter the suit they wear, and we take action based on the individual actions. Tom Wolf’s reign needs to end and there needs to be legislation passed that does not allow this tyranny to happen ever again.
Open up PA. How did you get reelected? Gerrymandering perhaps? We don’t want illegals in our state. We the people have spoken.
