Citizens Against Abusive Power Systems, are proud to report that following our urging along with, and on behalf of, numerous PA Residents, Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R- Butler) along with 24 co-sponsors has filed five Articles of Impeachment against Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf. You can read those articles here.
Representative Metcalf issued the following statement:
“While these are certainly unprecedented and chaotic times, Gov. Tom Wolf must be held accountable for his actions that have harmed so many of our citizens and violated so many of our rights.
“Wolf’s unconstitutional dictates and Orwellian overreach into our lives and the marketplace has caused immeasurable harm and hardship for far more Pennsylvanians than the virus!
“We must not and cannot ignore the more than 3,000 deaths in Pennsylvania’s nursing homes and long-term care facilities that are directly linked to Wolf’s and his secretary’s unconscionable orders to admit infected COVID-19 patients.
“We cannot and should not dismiss the social and economic impacts of more than 2 million citizens being forced to file for unemployment; countless families unable to put food on their tables; infringements on free speech, peaceful assembly and private property rights; increasing suicide rates; and the growing list of job-creating businesses that will never recover from the governor’s arbitrary, non-transparent and extreme stay-at-home and business shutdown orders.
“Pennsylvania citizens deserve and demand far better than a petulant socialist dictator with a well-documented history of unconstitutional and unlawful misbehavior cowardly occupying the governor’s office. No individual or regime is above the law. The time for Wolf’s impeachment is now!”
Where does this go from here? The house will vote to confirm the allegations, and then once confirmed it will be presented to the Senate for Trial. To be successful a 2/3 vote is required. We need your HELP! We urge everybody to write their local representatives and ask them to vote for impeachment so this matter can move to the Senate for Trial, and then all of the Senators should be contacted and asked to vote for impeachment. This will only work if we all work together and that means writing even the Democratic representatives and Senators and urging them to vote for impeachment as well. Remind them that this is not a party thing; it is a people thing, and Dictator Wolf needs to be removed from office. Furthermore, tell them that you know how to look up voting history, and any representative that does not vote to impeach will be targeted next. If we have to root out the cancer at the base level to remove the Wolf from the hen house at the top, then so be it.
Stand Strong; stand together!
The CAAPS Organization will continue to seek justice for the people, business owners, and those that lost their lives due to Dictator Wolf and PA Health Secretary Levine’s actions. We are pushing not only for impeachment and resignations, but we want criminal charges and jail time for the death of people that has occurred in nursing homes due to the orders that forced those homes to take in Covid infected patients. Genocide is a crime, and that is exactly what that order accomplished. We will be relentless and we will not stop in our pursuit of justice. As such, I am sure you are aware, these issues cost money, notwithstanding the $50K reward we have offered once Wolf is removed, tried and convicted of crimes. With that being said, we have created a special category fund to cover the investigative costs and promotion of our efforts to see this through. If you are capable, please consider donating what you can. For the cost of a cup of coffee from each of 12 million residents, we can do a lot. George Floyd’s memorial fund on gofundme (not run by our organization) raised $12M dollars; I hope we can do better than that for the 3000 Pennsylvania residents that died at Dictator Wolf’s hands.
We thank you for all of your efforts, and sincerely ask for your help by donating what you are able in order to get justice for those we have lost.
Outstanding story there. What occurred after?
Take care!
